Amanda and I went to a Hospice fundraiser last year. During the live auction, Amanda set her sights on a fly-in fishing and bear viewing trip with Talon Air, a local charter company. Talon flies large Turbine Otters and Cessna Caravans. During the bidding war for this auction item, the hospital CEO, Ryan Smith, leaned forward and asked Amanda if she realized that she had an airplane and a husband who knew how to fly it, and that we didn't need a charter service to do it for us. Ryan was not able to derail her quest to "win" this auction item. As you can see, she "won", and we recently flew with Talon Air to Big River Lakes and had a wonderful experience fishing for salmon and watching bears do the same.
