Memorial Day 2013

May 2013.  Flew to Fairbanks on the long Memorial Day weekend.  The trees went into bloom while we were there.  The temps were in the 80's.

The Fairbanks airport has a wonderful camping area with bathrooms, showers, bicycles, and parking spots for your plane next to your tent.

Flying home from Fairbanks we were able to get a spectacular view of Denali and Foraker.  

April 13, 2013

Flew through Lake Clark pass and visited Richard Proenneke's cabin.  We landed on the ice.  I flew down with Geno Rohl and David Wartinbee.
